Checkbook Covers
by Susan Pickering Rothamel

Personalization Directions:
Click the Pattern link above to print out the size and dimensions to the Checkbook Cover.
Draw pattern onto a piece of Studio Cloth and then cut out. Stitch cover on pattern where needed.
Next paint a base coat onto the studio cloth using Perfect Pigments, and let it dry. Then lightly sand the fabric to provide a completely smooth surface. Adhere papers using PPA-Matte or Gloss and topcoat the finished piece with PPA-Gloss, making thise Checkbook Cover suitable for use for many years to come.
Here we've used Decorative Napkins and Perftect Pigments. After painting, make a few small slits inside an run the ribbon through. Or, make two tiny holes, string an elastic cord and tie it in a knot. Stitch on a button and make a vintage closure you'll treasure forever.
Our chocolate brown set appears almost leather-like by 'scrubbing' the color, allowing the white of the fabric to glow through, and adding complimentary green metallics. A decorative paper napkin, of purple gingko leaves, purchased at a local gift shop, complete the overall design. Simply cut out the designs, remove all the white paper backers and adhere them. The entire set was coated with PPA-Gloss to provide complete water-resistant protection and durable flexibility.
